The variegated red of this beautiful yarn mimics the dynamic reds of autumn leaves, but the clever overlapping leaf pattern would look great in any color.  A cable on each end provides a nice smooth edge that withstands curling.  Although the leafy lace looks complex, it is an easy pattern that can be mastered by beginner knitters.
